SupraVail® Instant Solubilization

Convenient Parenteral Formulation for Poorly Soluble Pharmaceutical Actives!

SupraVail® Instant Solubilization is a convenient way to formulate poorly soluble actives for parenteral delivery.

  • Formulation principle already in marketed products
  • Performs in vivo as a fully solubilized system
  • Eliminates the risk of precipitation and embolism
  • Suitable for preclinical and clinical development
  • Feasibility with accelerated stability in only 8-10 weeks

SupraVail® Instant Solubilization is not Magic - it is just Plain Good Science!

SupraVail® Instant Solubilization is a two bottle system comprised of 1) Placebo Lipid Dispersion and 2) Transfer Medium. The Placebo Lipid Dispersion is made of parenterally acceptable diacylphospholipids; the Transfer Medium contains the pharmaceutical active dissolved in water-miscible organic solvent. To instantly solubilize a pharmaceutical active, the Transfer Medium is simply added to the Placebo Lipid Dispersion.

Through the use of a Transfer Enhancer - an excipient which "guides" the drug into the lipid dispersion and prevents precipitation - the drug partitions smoothly into the lipid dispersion.

The standard Placebo Lipid Dispersion formulation can be used for most poorly soluble pharmaceutical actives, making it an especially flexible and universal drug delivery vehicle.
